Donation to Roy Carrier
Cascade Zydeco has made a contribution to Roy Carrier's medical fund.

Roy Carrier is a living zydeco legend. Read his biography to get a feel for how zydeco developed and get a feel for the struggles that went along with the development of this musical tradition. Both of his sons Chubby (Joseph Roy Jr.), Troy (Dikki Du) have come to Portland to play for Cascade Zydeco and at the Blues Festival.

Saturday Bike Ride
It is my understanding that National Geographic was in town doing an article on biking cities. They spent about 45 minutes at Sara's, started dancing and took pictures too. Stay tuned maybe we hit a national magazine.
Bon Ton Roulet

Zydeco Dance Lessons
"Zydeco Dancing" is being offered by Vancouver Parks and Recreation. John Klindt is the instructor. This is a progressive class that lasts eight weeks.
