We did such a great job at the Blues Festival Swamp Romp that we have been invited to setup a booth at Willamette Valley Brews & Blues Festival http://wvbbf.org/.
Jim Lalone is organizing this event. He needs people to work the booth. We will be playing music and dancing, plus giving dance demos. This is a great opportunity to promote Dance Camp and our club.

Each year, the festival managers look to see our level of support from the previous year. This helps them determine the number of zydeco bands to hire, the size of the dance floor & overhead sun/rain protection to rent, & where & how big a booth from which to disseminate information about cascade zydeco.
Your support is crucial to our participation at the festival.

Richard played to mixed reviews. He put together a whole new band for our event. After some helpful comments from cz members, the second set was more danceable.
Many dancers enjoyed the singing voices, variety of music and stage presence of this group.

The dance lesson will be from 11am to noon with two hours of dancing to
follow. John will be here to help and assist as the dancing goes on. This
is a Cascade Zydeco Dance Camp benefit. Net proceeds go to the Zydeco Dance

Known for her warm and playful teaching style, Jodi loves sharing her passion
for all things dance (over 17 years now!). What matters to Jodi (a Pacific
Northwest Grand Champion Lindy Hopper who has studied and taught dance
internationally) is the heart, the music and the connection with another on the
dance floor.
Sean brings positive good fun, playful creativity, and a keen intuition to help dancers find ever more joyful, fluid movement and an elemental connection to themselves, the music, and their partner that makes for spontaneous, ecstatic dancing.

To help support there is a pre-event fund raising to cover the cost for the band. Come to the Kelso Burgerville on Thursday Jan 28th between 5-8 p.m. 10% of the proceeds that night will go towards the cost of the event. We will have zydeco on the juke box and dancing to promote the event.
