Cajun dance
Y'all missed a most wonderful Cajun dance on Saturday night.
Dirk Powell was in town. He is the son-in-law to the late great Dewey Balfa.
He lives in Lafayette and is renowned not only for his "Old Time" music, but also for his Cajun. He put a band together on short notice. He was on tour through Portland with Joan Baez.
Joan stopped by, so I offered to teach her to dance to Cajun Music... she agreed, and
the rest, as you can see, is history.
