Our out reach to the Alzheimer's home was in discussion, on how we could continue with a visiting group of dancers to showcase our Zydeco dance Culture. Jim brought up that he has met with an Oregon State dance instructor, and we as a club could go to a Oregon State class in Eugene. And as a group of eight dancers demonstrate Zydeco, to there dance class.

Zydeco Sound Equipment. It has been decided by the Zydeco board to purchase an Apple Docking Source , to maintain a battery charge for dance music from our MP3s

Diane George is working with the Oregon Repertoire Singers concerning a silent auction. Tickets for future Zydeco dances will be auctioned off. Discussion concerning mutual fund raising with other non profit organizations, was discussed.

Men's Night; it was moved and seconded that April 14th will be free men's night at Zydeco. This is an attempt to address the concern that we do not have enough men attending our dances. The desire is to bring several new men into trying out Zydeco.

Gator Board; We have decided that we need a lighter, more portable, and be able to have information clipped to this board. Patty Kadel has offered to go downtown and find this board.

Hand Held Mike. We discussed better ways in receiving attention when it comes to message time at our Dances. Many ideas were presented as to gaining quiet in the hall. The idea of using our hand held Microphone seems best for Announcements.

Zydeco Logo for our personal club cards. Our committee reports on going work has been stepped up in choosing a Logo for Cascade Zydeco . People as they return from visiting Louisiana will also be questioned for input as to interesting logos.

Dance Camp; reports from our Dance Camp committee stated that we now have a web page for this years Summer camp in September. The price has not as yet been set, and decisions as to having more than one band are still being discussed. Flexibility was a question brought up. Are we going to have flexibility for those that do not wish to spend the week end yet want to be able to attend some of the week ends venue.

Baby Boomers; Our Wednesday night dance has been receiving visits from The Baby Boomers dance club. On St. Patrick's day we had several Baby Boomers as well as the two original charter members. We have given a display of Zydeco dancing at The Baby Boomers and Jim stated that they loved it.

Our Financial Report was given by Patty Kadel. We have risen our funds by $800 over last months report to $18,800.00. This change was due primarily to our Wednesday night Dances. Patty reported that we soon will need to submit our deposit to The Kiwanis Camp for our September Summer Dance Camp.

New Business; Fund raising was brought to the floor for discussion. Susan brought up possible Grant money coming from Pepsi Cola. That two Grant funds are available one for 25k and another at 50k, more information will be needed. Jim discussed how Burger Ville hosted a fund raiser in Long View Washington, that brought in $286 for two hours work. Jeff one of our Zydeco members is preparing for his yearly garage sale. This garage sale in the past has been the largest fund raiser for us, in raising funds for Summer Camp. It was discussed to remind people that donations are Tax deductible, and by doing so may bring a higher quality of things to be sold at the garage sale.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:10
