Cascade Zydeco Board Meeting Minutes
September 2010
Meeting was called to order at 6:10. Present were Jim Lalone, Terri Jo Bonbright, Patty Kadel, Janine Tebeau-Jemerson, Patty Renfro, and Vicki Ryan Barbur. Minutes were taken by Sam McEnany. Not present were Susan Sullivan and Marcia Esther.
New board member, Vicki Ryan Barbur was introduced.
There was a general discussion regarding the need to fill the positions of current Board Officers who will be completing the second year of their two-year terms in 2011. Patty Kadel expressed interest in having someone immediately assume the position of Membership Chairman.
Dance Camp Terri Jo Bonbright and Janine Tebeau-Jemerson, Dance Camp Coordinators, reported that plans are in place for all aspects of camp. Currently we have considerable numbers of registrations from out-of-state participants. Registrations continue to come in. Videotaping of dancers may be available at camp.
Membership Patty Kadel reported that we currently have approximately 150 paid members.
Financial Patty Kadel reported that, before Dance Camp expenses are paid, CZ currently has a bank balance of approximately $28,000. Board members received a year-to-date balance statement and profit/loss statement. Dance Camp fundraising was discussed.
Events Lil Pookie and the Zydeco Locals will play at PPAA on Sept 24.
A motion was passed to purchase a storage shelf for the store room. Patty Kadel will make the purchase.
