November 3, 2010 Meeting was called to order by President Jim Lalone at 6:10
Meeting called to order @6:10. In attendance President Jim Lalone, Vice President Terri Jo Bonbright, Treasurer Patty Kadel, Janine Tebeau-Jemerson Patty Renfro, Vicky Ryan Barber, Marcia Esther. Minutes taken by Sam McEnany. Not present at this meeting Susan Sullivan.
Our profit/loss and balance sheet were presented by Patty Kadel.
Jim Lalone presented information concerning getting insurance to cover our board members, our equipment, PPPA for the safety of our equipment, any activity that Cascade Zydeco promotes, and transportation of band members. Davison Insurance will provide Cascade Zydeco with General Liability up to $1 million, at a cost of approximately $1900.00 per year. Copies of this insurance policy were sent out to all board members to be approved.
Jim asked us to begin to consider bands we will want for next years events, how much are we willing to spend? Lumas, our band coordinator, has worked very hard to bring in top quality bands. We may be able to afford a top quality band once a quarter at best.
Marcia proposed the idea of having a reunion dance at the Alberta Street.
A thank you for Ralph Olsen for his many Cascade Zydeco events and fundraisers that he has sponsored at his home. We voted in favor of a $100 gift and a Cascade Zydeco membership.
