Minutes for C.Z Board Meeting on 12-02-2009
Dick Brainard would like to have a discussion about the C.Z. booth at the Blues Festival; we will have an opportunity to speak with Dick at 7:00 PM.

Relative to the minutes recorded for board meetings, a motion was made by Terri Jo that we do not list specific board member's names with their specific ideas and/or topics of discussion. The motion was seconded by all.
A motion was made by Jim LaLone that the minutes for the November 20009 Board Meeting to be re-submitted with specific board member names omitted, for approval. The motion was seconded by Susan Guz.
C.Z. was contacted by Clarebridge, an Alzheimer's Facility in Beaverton, with a request for us to come and dance and play music at the facility on Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM for the residents there.
There was discussion about O.P.B. dropping Zydeco and requesting that C.Z. members write to O.P.B. to protest this decision. However, we were informed that members should wait until C.Z. publicity receives an update regarding this decision on Thursday, 12-03-2009 before sending any protest letters to O.P.B.
Do announcements about upcoming events and other C.Z. information twice on Wednesdays ? once at the conclusion of the lesson and again at the time when birthdays and/or raffles are announces ? because many people are not there yet at the end of the lesson.
Information was presented about an upcoming Zydeco event: a benefit dance "for hurricane victims" on Friday, February 12, 2010 in Longview, WA.
A motion was made by Patty Kadel to eliminate the Capital One credit card and seconded by Jim LaLone. All voted yes.
There was discussion about the need for C.Z. business cards the need to develop "brand recognition" for C.Z. with a logo. And that there should be uniformity for all C.Z. communication, the web-site, and the business cards, etc.
