Cajun and Zydeco Radio Guide at www.cajunradio.org. This list can be a little overwhelming. If you find a good one let me know and I'll list it separately.
Local radio stations provide very little zydeco music. Maybe if we all call or email with requests that would improve!
"Aunt Joan", Joan Semprebon, hosts "Blue Rhythm" on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 2:00 -4:00 pm on KBOO. She has had Roland and Janine, playing zydeco, on her show twice. You can send her email from the KBOO web site if you want to request more zydeco.
Catch Sean Donovan (Gatorboy) on the radio at KBCS 91.3 FM (online at kbcs.fm) where he hosts the weekly music show "The Outskirts" Fridays from noon-3pm.
You can get a lot of zydeco on itunes, buy cds directly from the bands that appear in Portland, and order from Amazon, too. Music Millennium on 30th and East Burnside is good for new releases by well known artists. They might also be able to place special orders, if you know what/who you are looking for.
Mail order businesses offer the best selection. My favorite is Louisiana Music Factory. They offer the widest selection of Zydeco and Louisiana-based music of any mail order music business I've found.
Floyd's Record Shop from Ville Platte is also a good resource.
If these fail, try to Google a band's website. It is often the only way to get a CD released by a relatively new band.
Finally, don't overlook sources for used CDs. Half.com is a good option.
