This is an organization associated with Northwest Dance Network. The main object for Dance It! is to raise funds that will be paid to dance teachers who will then go into high schools in the Puget Sound area and teach social dance free of charge to high school students.
Background: Seattle based Dance It!, founded in 2006, is a non-profit organization providing free of charge, professional dance instruction at local high schools, and teaching students how to dance socially. To date we’ve introduced over 1800 teens to partner dancing.
Dance It! will be holding a fund raising auction Sunday August 29 at the Century Ballroom (West Hall). I am so excited to tell you that Joyce Taylor will be our hostess for the evening! Dance It! is inviting all dance communities to join us by either donating goods and services and by attending this worthwhile event. There will be several dance demonstrations for your viewing pleasure and music so that you may dance the evening away while bidding on such delectable items as a condo in Hawaii, visit a home on Whidbey Island (I have been to this house and it is so lovely and charming) tickets to the symphony, tickets to plays, gift certificates to the Highway 99 Blues Club, dance lessons and so much more. Details about this event can be found at: www.dance-it.com.
Please contact Lise at info@dance-it.com to request flyers or to answer any questions you may have.
