Roy Carrier and the Night Rockers
Roy Carrier
was a zydeco legend*. Read his biography to get a feel for how zydeco developed and get
a feel for the struggles that went along with the development of this musical
tradition. Both of his sons Chubby (Joseph Roy Jr.), Troy (Dikki Du) have come
to Portland to play for Cascade Zydeco and at the Blues Festival.

Dikki Du, Roy's son and brother of Chubby Carrier is working hard to reopen the Off Shore Lounge after the Death of Roy Carrier.
Cascade Zydeco made a contribution to Roy Carrier's medical fund.
